Role Description

In this role you will be coordinating acvtitities to create meat-free products. You will report to the R&D Manager. To be successful in this role you will need experience in working with meat-free products and plant-based products.

Responsibilities

- Creat new plant-based products within the Lab (60% of the time)
-Set up and execution of strategic application development projects
-Identify the market trends and customer needs to translate in new application concepts with high added value
-Initiating and lead studies in starch and protein product interaction and application in improved product concepts
-Interpretation and reporting of research results
-Prepare, report and present at project review meetings
-Update, expand and secure expertise within the department
-Participate in seminars and conferences to promote Avebe and to catch up with the advanced knowledge from the field
-Identify and protect IP opportunities

Requirements

- Background in Food Technology or simular field
- Minimum of 5 years of exprience in an R&D role with in the Food industry with Plant- based/ Meat- Analogues
- Knowledge and experience of hydrocolloids and proteins used in food application is a must
- Affinity with texture and nutrition related product development
- Experience in managing complex research tasks
- Able to work in cross functional teams and with external partners
-Good command of English
-Up to date with relevant (scientific) literature
-Experience in IP protection
