THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.
This food ingredients client has a commitment to health. Through selling food additives, oils and supplements, they are a global player on the B2B market of dietary, sports and infant nutrition.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As (international) sales manager, you will part of a two-headed team which is responsible for global sales. Your area of expertise is in Europe, namely Germany and the South-European markets. You have experience in the sales of food (ingredients) and are willing to learn the technicalities of additives and fats. You're down-to-earth and patient when it comes to key account management. With your proven track record of building and maintaining relations, you develop sales, cross-sell, negotiate new contracts and aid clients in finding the best solution. You will be working in a small team, so flexibility is key.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drawing up and executing regional business plans
• Responsible for setting budgets
• Key account management of European accounts
• Guiding and co-branding with clients
• Negotiating prices
• Ensuring short and long-term business growth
• Identifying new business opportunities
• Developing a sound understanding of the ingredients market
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Chemistry or Commerce
• Knowledgeable of food ingredients, broad network in the food industry (at the very least, fast learner)
• Food experience is a must
• Fluent Dutch and English and German! Spanish is a strong plus and will make the difference between candidates
• Willing to travel in Europe 30% of the time
• In possession of a driver's license and preferably a car of your own
