For our client, an international media company, we are looking for experienced individual for the role of HR Manager (generalist) to strengthen its local operations and support management in Poland and Czech Republic.

Description

  • Support managers in applying company policies, ensuring alignment to rules and law aspects
  • Serve as primary HR contact for the Eastern European region to enhance, develop and manage key people processes (policies and procedures, onboarding, recruiting and selection etc) in accordance with global approaches but tailored for local environment
  • Partner with management on HR initiatives relating to employee engagement, retention, performance planning, compensation/title analysis, employee relations, career development, succession planning and organisational structuring
  • Administer and process payroll, managing third-party vendor(s) and comply with statutory reporting demands
  • Develop and maintain local benefits and wellbeing offerings, in line with market
  • Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance with the aim of developing people to their full potential consistent with the overall business strategy
  • Coordinate local training and development activities, working with suppliers to deliver programs/workshops and aligning with global talent and development approaches
  • Input HR data through the HR System, ensuring timely administration and maintaining data integrity; deliver reporting to the business and its stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day HR responsibilities such relocation, terminations, contracts, employee benchmarking, annual merit and bonus processes
  • Navigate local employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with legislation and balancing commercial 'v' employee needs, escalating to HR leadership where required
  • Oversee the compliance landscape for Eastern Europe, as it relates to employees, ensuring local adherence (GDPR, codes of conduct, anti-bribery etc)
  • Drafts and maintains all employee documentation (contracts, change of terms etc)
  • Conducts termination/exit interviews, identifying trends for remediation
  • Conducts research, contributes to projects and timelines, and participates as a hands-on contributor on HR initiatives impacting Eastern Europe
  • Deliver cyclical programs (Year-End Merit & Bonus, Budgeting, Performance Planning etc)
  • Facilitates the creation of job descriptions with hiring managers, translate hiring needs, participate in interview process and ensure effective filling of all positions
  • Maintain a knowledge about Labour law
  • Navigate complex situations, environments and team dynamics, challenging ways of thinking and advocating the people agenda
  • Partner with global communities of excellence and other regional HR resources, to leverage existing practices

Profile

  • Formal HR qualification (or working towards)
  • 3 + years in HR with experience as an HR generalist or equivalent (recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, reward, HR operations)
  • Eastern European Employment Law - working knowledge / exposure / experience
  • Willingness to administer operational aspects of HR alongside projects / strategy support
  • Experience of administering/processing payroll and benefits and managing vendors Excellent communication (verbal and written Polish and English) and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and
