Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Neuenburg Switzerland.
My client, a worldwide operating Pharmaceutical company, is currently looking for a Head of Engineering. The position is located in Neuchatel and to be filled immediately on a permanent base.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Head of Site Engineering will lead and manage the engineering operations for the manufacturing site. This position maintains equipment and facilities perform facilities management including operations of utilities and critical systems. Furthermore you will also be accountable for the Engineering related operating results and support therefore the operational requirements of bulk drug substance manufacturing and Packaging operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring Facilities, Plants, Utilities and Equipment are properly maintained and are fit for intended use and that they are operated in a safe and efficient manner, compliant with all regulatory requirements
Providing management oversight to ensure the Site Facilities, Plants, Utilities and Equipment are properly maintained and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibility for development of technical subject matter expertise and provision of adequate engineering resources (internally and externally) t
Identify and escalate Engineering issues to ensure continuous improvement related to manufacturing operations
Responsibility for the planning and execution of deliverables for all site capital investment projects and technology transfers
Ensure that project sub-teams are resourced appropriately (internally and externally) to meet their goals and objectives and ensure that projects are on time and on budget
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
Academic degree in Engineering and +10 years of experience in an engineering function within a GMP regulated environment
Expert knowledge in bioprocess engineering
Experience in management of engineering personnel as well as managing engineering operations in a manufacturing environment (e.g. facilities, utilities, maintenance)
Strong knowledge of Quality systems as well as industry norms and standards (ISO 5, ISO 7 and ISO 8)
Excellent communication, technical, organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills
Strong ability to negotiate and influence others internally and externally
Very strong English and French language skills (orally and written). German is an asset
