Position Summary
A Head Nurse of the Maternity Unit is a Midwife whose competencies, qualifications, registration and/ or license are recognized by the local regulatory authority for registration. She functions in accordance with legislative and hospital policies and guidelines relevant to midwifery practice and assumes responsibility and accountability for her own actions and clinical decision making.
Position Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications
- 3-4 year General Nursing Diploma / Degree plus
- Midwifery certificate or diploma of not less than 12 months or
- Direct entry midwifery degree of not less than 3 years
- Post graduate Degree in Nursing Management/Advanced Clinical Speciality desirable
Professional Experience
- At least five (5) years of recent post-graduate midwifery experience - including labour and delivery
- 5 years demonstrated managerial experience
- Private hospital experience desirable
- Current license to practice nursing/midwifery
Offer:
- Basic Salary AED 11,000/-
- Staff Special Allowance AED 1,000/-
- Transportation Allowance AED 600/-
