Hadoop Senior Engineer
Location: Kraków
Our Team is currently looking for skilled individual to act as Senior Software Engineer – Hadoop Administrator
The team identifies emergent risk issues and financial crime proactively, quickly and effectively, preventing illicit actors accessing the global financial system. Is using Big Data technology to build tools that enable our global teams to conduct intelligence-based investigations. The Hadoop Team supports 5 ecosystems, with a total of 160 nodes. With an expansion of the team’s resources, more Hadoop ecosystems from other areas within the business function will fall under the administration of the team
Key Accountabilities:
Our project is the next generation of tooling for combatting financial crime. A large amount of the analytics in this system takes place on Hadoop, and as such the project needs additional support in optimizing Hadoop to ensure the stability and optimal running of the project
Our company have standardised their Big Data projects on the Hortonworks Data Platform:
Implement and upgrade Hadoop ecosystem
Provide L2/3 Support to business users
Provide L3 Support to development pods
Assist in implementation of the migration of Hadoop from on-premises to the cloud
Working and partnering with business, development and infrastructure teams
Requirements:
Hortonworks certified administrator
In depth knowledge of HIVE
Hands on experience in Spark
Experience of BDD/TDD
Not required but desired:
Very useful skills: Google Cloud Platform, DevOps/Agile practices (Scrum/KANBAN),
Nice to have: Datameer/Anaconda/Jupyter, RHEL/Shell scripting/REGEX, knowledge of Python and PySpark, Cloudbreak.
