ROLE DESCRIPTION
As grass breeder you are in charge of one grass specie. You will develop this species traits and further improve the quality. Furthermore, research to develop a new specie is supported by the organization, thus one of your tasks
You will be part of the R&D department, build on resistance and genetic aspect of the grass through projects, mapping and planning. While doing this it is data analyses are the source for improvement which you will monitor and enhance. This will result into development of new species, required traits assessments and resistance improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform your role you will be responsible for the following areas:
• Improve and develop existing and new grass species
• Work together with assistant breeders on breeding projects
• Focus on result processing driven from data history acquired by you and other breeders
• Realize the targets from the breeding programs and manage the planning accordingly
REQUIREMENTS
• PhD in Agricultural related field
• Between 3-6 years of experience in the Crops Sciences
• Strong breeding techniques, understanding and research knowledge
• Analytical, planning and project management skills
• Focus on strategic goals and manage targets
• Strong writing and speaking skills in English
• Mentoring, friendly and open personality to support assistant breeders.
