Global Transportation and Customs Manager (m/f)
You will be responsible for designing and improving the transportation and customs strategy in the existing and new plants globally, and managing and improving the overall cost of transportation and customs for plants.

For our Client - an international production company we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager with extensive knowledge about transportation and customs.
Description
A person hired at this position will be responsible for:
- Defining the best global strategy for customs and transportation management for all production plants;
- Supporting Program Managers in the estimation of transportation and customs costs for new programs;
- Working with purchasing department to procure transportation services;
- Creating optimum logistics routes for new plants or new customer/supplier locations;
- Cooperating with other teams to maintain an optimum inbound and outbound freight level;
- Creating tools to provide production plants with a good control of transportation costs;
- Ensuring best import/export processes, proper duty/tax payments;
- Developing, and implementing standard global processes for all production plants.
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation management;
- University Degree in logistic or business qualification;
- Fluent English;
- Experience in leading logistics/supply chain teams;
- Expertise in SAP for Logistics and Materials;
- Experience managing Customs operations;
- Knowledge in foreign trade, customs compliance, customs law;
- Flexibility, adaptability and process improvement approach;
- Strong communication skills.
