ROLE DESCRIPTION
We have a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity and looking for an outstanding candidate for the position of Continuous Improvement Director. You will provide analytical expertise to the businesses in support of the organizations’ improvement programme, focusing on business performance.

Your focus will be to Design Lean Strategies for Continuous Improvement for the BU across the Value Chain. You will provide thought leadership as part of CI practice to enhance the organisations’ common methodology. Engage with Business Transformation Business Group Leader and Business Unit senior leaders in creating a long term road map for Continuous improvement. Deliver impactful results tied to Business Unit priorities through application of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies, with sustainable behavioral change to ensure long term competitive advantage.

You will work with the Business Transformation Leader to determine projects, goals, develop project plans, and facilitate execution of the plan to meet business objectives and productivity targets. Partner with key BU Business stakeholders to define strategic change opportunities, providing leadership in the application of LEAN Six Sigma. You will be based in The Netherlands and manage a team of 6 direct reports. You will travel frequently (40 - 50%) to collaborate with our main markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role as Continuous Improvement Director, you will be responsible for the following:
- Drive and execute business strategies and improvement projects.
- Work with key stakeholders to define objectives, metrics, strategy and execution plan for short, mid and long term.
- Coach business team members, Green Belts, Black Belts and site Master Black Belts in the practical application of the LEAN Six Sigma tools to drive significant business impact.
- Be the transformation leader for the End-to-End projects, training and initiatives.
- Facilitate Accelerate workouts, value stream mapping sessions and activities to achieve project objectives.
- Quality Specific Goals: Aware of and comply with the Quality Policy, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 10 years in Continuous Improvement roles
- Multi Industry and multi-function CI experience (both in manufacturing and commerce)
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Bachelor degree required, MBA preferred
- Master Lean certification required
- Experience in multi-location lean deployments
- Business English both written and spoken is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Consulting skills, ability to operate in a highly matrixed structure
- Training and Facilitation competencies
- Practical experience implementing Toyota Production System, or similar, in a functional role
- Comfortable engaging with associates at all levels of the organization (from shop floor to boardroom)
- Ability to generate enthusiasm with colleagues on Lean methodology as a business necessity
