GL Accountant

Our client, a prestigious and highly respected global company, is planning to establish and develop a Shared Service Centre in Łódźand is urgently looking for GL Accountant.
The successful Candidate will be responsible for seeing that all general ledger journals, accruals and other general ledger transactions are undertaken including providing support to the completion of statutory accounts.
The main duties will include:
- Maintain accurate statutory records
- Produce monthly control files to ensure all reconciliations are complete
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Reconcile and confirm monthly inter-company balances - Manage month end close process execution
- Review GL journal entries
- GL reconciliation
- Review actuals vs forecasts / budgets
- Continuous improvements to systems and processes in place to ensure best practice, optimum effectiveness and efficiency
- Liaison with customers both internal and external
- Ensuring Service Partnership Agreements and KPI’s are managed and adhered to
- Managing performance through metrics and KPI’s
- Ensuring Company’s commercial policies are adhered to and work to ensure that processes meet company requirements in an automated and user-friendly manner as possible
- Ensuring tax and statutory legislation is adhered to
- Liaising closely with all finance groups within the SSO and other support functions as necessary
- Driving end to end standard processes
- Seeking ways to improve service levels and drive down cost
Qualifications:
- Fluent English and Polish
- Master degree in accountancy, economics or finance
- Min. 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in managing a team will be an advantage
- Studying for recognized accountancy or similar qualification
- Fully IT literate
