General Ledger Team Lead - Lider zespołu księgi głównej

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a main point of contact for regional GL accountants and controllers.
  • Assists with implementing initiatives for improving the efficiency and / or effectiveness of the GL transaction processing.
  • Contributes to the maintenance and updating of GL processes and procedures.
  • Delivers optimum service quality through regular contact with key stakeholders across the group.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of performed GL processes by team members.
  • Ensures that processes are carried out in line with regulatory requirements and internal accounting policies.
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of all GL transactions for assigned team, in accordance with performance and quality standards defined in relevant service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitors, interprets and reports team key performance indicators.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to team members as required.
  • Resolves queries relating to GL as specified by SLAs and escalates them as appropriate.
  • Supports and develops the team through regular communication, planning, coaching and performance reviews.
  • Supports internal and external audit requirements with regards to business center GL processes.
  • Supports the transition of local GL processes into the business center.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of people management and the ability to motivate team members.
  • Experience in leading an accounting team.
  • Ability to work under time pressure.

Professional Competencies:

  • Experience in knowledge transfer activity is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of GL finance processes and improvement levers.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external business center customers in an effective manner.

Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc in economics or business administration with major in accounting.
  • Typically 3-5 year experience in GL processes, including managerial roles.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Excellent business English (oral and written skills) across finance organizations.
  • Experience in working in a business center, within a complex, large volume environment.
  • Experience in working in Polish Accounting is an advantage.
