Duties & Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of senior security professionals, perform configuration, maintenance and support of Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco ASA firewalls and related network security infrastructure, including:
- Assist senior security professionals with activities for Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco ASA firewalls and related Network security infrastructure as directed, including:
- Compliance with relevant policies, procedures and standards
- Adherence to change control procedures
- Configuration of firewall rule base and objects
Requirements:
- 3+ years IT professional experience
- Ability to thoroughly troubleshoot issues, and escalate if needed
- Full understanding of the IP network stack/OSI model
- Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, NTP, RADIUS protocols
- Comfortable working with firewalls, load balancers, VPN appliances, etc.
- Supporting and managing large campus networks along with smaller regional office networks.
- Work with the architectural team to implement new and modify network builds
- Provide tier 2 support to resolve complex technical problems
- Experience with the following technologies firewall technologies, and knowledge in data switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPSEC
- Knowledge of encryption algorithms including DES, 3DES, and AES
- Good troubleshooting skills to determine cause and take appropriate action to correct errors
- Ability to work with a wide variety of technical and non-technical people
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
- Provide after-hours support as necessary
- Experience troubleshooting IPSEC / VPN tunnels, ingress / egress issues, Internet content filtering.

- Knowledge in Linux is added skills
- Check Point URL Filtering, Application control, IPS, Identity Awareness experience are added skills here
