Financial Controller

Client Details
Our client, a well-established market leader, seeks a Financial Controller for their Warsaw office.
Description
- Responsible for monthly management reporting, semi-annual financial reporting, budgeting, long- term strategic planning of the Polish operating entities
- Act as a business partner and liaise with Financial Directors and Controllers on financial performance of operations, budget preparation, forecasting, strategic plan preparation, impairment testing
- Provide quality financial leadership and analytical support for senior management
- Prepare presentations and commentaries as needed for key stakeholders
- Understand key issues facing the operating entity (trading performance, Operating cash, performance, forecasts, KPI's etc.)
- Produce forecasts, business reports and provide the analysis of performance
- To develop and maintain consolidated reports, preparation of financial statements
- Provide financial input for acquisition and capital expenditure proposals
- Looking for opportunities to improve and manage the improvement projects
- Provide proactive, accurate and timely insight into financial performance by analyzing any variance of actual results from budget and/or forecast or strategic plan preparation
- Review of internal control procedures and SoX compliance
- Provide financial input for acquisition and capital expenditure proposals
- Developing best practices and operational efficiencies
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, controlling (Big4 background is an asset)
- Strong management and financial accounting knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to quickly analyse and validate financial and performance data
- Very strong analytical and logical skills with ability to draw appropriate conclusions and identify in-consistences
- Demonstrated ability to present and defend opinions/conclusions
- Experience in production business will be a plus
- Preferably qualified ACCA
- Fluent English
- Strong IT orientated with excellent knowledge of MS Office especially advanced excel and PowerPoint
- Previous use of HFM/Hyperion beneficial, but not essential
- Knowledge of IFRS and PAR
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- To be an effective team member who demonstrates integrity and trust
- Ability to adequately plan and organize own work within tight deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively with excellent presentation and verbal communication/writing skills
- Strategic thinker with high degree of analytical talent and business process understanding
- Business leader with hands on attitude, with an entrepreneurial mind-set and can do attitude to accompany change
