Financial Controller
The selected Candidate will be responsible for all controlling and accounting activities to ensure that strategic, financial and operational goals are achieved.
Client Details
Our client is a major multinational, production company with growing operations in Poland. As a result of growth of local operations, the company is looking to recruit a candidate for the newly created position of Financial Controller. The selected candidate will work in an independent position and report directly to the General Manager in Poland and to the Group Financial Controller based in Belgium.
Description
- Provide financial support to the Managing Director in Poland by overseeing all controlling and accounting activities to ensure that strategic, financial and operational goals are achieved
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly/quarterly/year-end close activities in accordance to the local principles and company policies
- Prepare budgets as well as monitor its realization, together with an explanation of deviations
- Ensure that the budget and the operational results are followed to guarantee that this data is closely monitored and is adjusted on time
- Prepare business recommendations to the senior management regarding financial and organizational issues in the short and long term perspective
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the senior management to ensure that the correct financial data is reported
- Analyze investment proposals and provide advice about them
- Take responsibility for drawing up and following up the P&L accounts and balance sheets and correctly carry out financial accountancy work to ensure that a correct posting of the financial accounting can be guaranteed
- Solve complex accountancy issues and provide advice from an (analytical) accountancy perspective when drawing up budgets and making cost price calculations
- Coordinate and organize the different accounting activities according to the priorities and competencies and the needs of the organization
- Be in regular contact with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure you are well-informed about the evolutions and developments related to controlling, finances and accountancy and that your knowledge is up-to-date
Profile
- University degree preferably in economics/controlling/accounting
- 4-6 years of experience in finance (Audit, controlling, accounting)
- Experience in international manufacturing company is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of Polish Accounting Standards; IFRS knowledge highly desired
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations to management on business issues
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to operate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Highly proficient with MS Excel
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
