Finance Accounting and Reporting Team Manager for North America

- Oversee Finance Accounting and Reporting (FAR) activities - complex tasks, reviews and submissions of Financial Statement
- Process overview, close coordination and leadership - team and task management (team up to 10 people),
- Control of the processes and data provided, SOX compliance, assuring quality within the process from the below areas:
- Accruals, IC transactions and other journals
- Reconciliations performed
- Reporting (IFRS) - Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Disclosures
- Regulatory (SST) and statutory reporting
- Liaison with various stakeholders e.g. FAR Controllers, actuaries, local accountants, Performance and Planning, Treasury, Investment Accounting
- Key contact for process discussions and issue resolutions
Candidate’s profile:
- University degree - Finance and Accounting
- Analytical skills and Attention to details
- Goal-focused, Flexible, Reliable, Motivated and Positive individual with a ‘’can do’’ attitude
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- At least 2 years of people management experience
- Ability to learn quickly and inspire others
- Ability to develop / maintain effective and long-lasting working relationships
- Practical accounting experience in GL, reporting in IFRS, Data analysis
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly developed professional ethics and assertiveness skills
- As an additional asset:
- Knowledge of Insurance/ Financial Services legislation and regulations
- SAP experience, strong MS Excel skills
- SOX exposure
Additional requirements:
- Commitment to work longer hours during monthly/quarterly closing periods
- This position will be dedicated for the US (American) customer which will require adapting to work according to the US hours/shifts mainly during closing periods
