Accountabilities
- Define and implement Group procurement policy, securing the means and resources needed to deliver and implement strategic procurement initiatives
- Implement simple and clear supplier relationship models and segmentation strategy based on strategic intent, value and long-term relationship focus – on a Group wide and global basis
- Set clear objectives for approach to Category management
- Set clear objectives for all sourcing and procurement needs
- Be clear about value and opportunity requirements and assessments, spend analysis, demand forecasting and market intelligence, organisational and operational efficiency requirements and targets
- Define simple and clear metrics for governance and success measurement, and performance manage level of achievement
- Lead the tracking and validation of year-on-year cost reduction activity
- Build strong network and relationships with key stakeholders, to deliver the Group’s strategy
- Ensure compliance to agreed sourcing and procurement approach across IAG’s group of companies
- Act as a primary contact point for Group Companies for the particular commodity including building stakeholder relationships and influencing demand/specification.
- Develop strategy for sourcing initiatives
- Support the execution of strategic sourcing projects
- Support Group supplier relationship management strategy, incl. contract and risk management
- Lead contract dispute resolution activity, when necessary
- Ensure full spend visibility under contract per-category
- When necessary, intervene to lead contract management for Group strategic suppliers in conjunction with business areas
- Manage SLA’s as defined under the Group´s procurement commercial agreements
- Ensure the integrity of the Group’s procurement process, including ethical code of practice and ways of doing business
- Lead knowledge sharing and best practice activity, internal and external
- Degree and/or ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of working in international procurement environment.
- Strong demonstrable commercial expertise including contract negotiation and dispute resolutions.
- Experience of working in an environment of change involving people, process, policy and technology.
- Knowledge across full commodity life cycle and awareness of market trends and suppliers.
- Strong business and financial acumen with ability to evaluate, analyse and solve problems.
- Ability to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines and finite resource.
- Commitment to service excellence and process improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder and conflict management skills.
- Ability to operate at senior (incl. ExCo) levels across a broad range of suppliers.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse and complex business environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to distil complex technical information in a clear simple messages.
- Fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish would be an advantage.
- Flexibility in terms of the base location setup including ability to travel between Group locations as per functional requirements.
