Mission:
Keeping all Electric Vehicles products of BMZ ahead of competition from a quality, cost and feature point of view.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating technical team of 20+ staff (Production, Project Management, Quality Analyst, Logistics, R&D, Process Engineers) in a matrix type of organization
- Driving future product development and specification included cell technology decisions, functional requirements
- Collaboratively define projects, schedule deliverables and track the progress against committed timelines (BMZ standard products as well as OEM battery systems)
- Planning, management and execution throughout the battery life cycle
- Organizing drafting of product documentation
- Technical and conceptual analysis of global market of electric buses
- Liaising with General Manager to define and implement Electric Vehicles strategy of BMZ
- Providing technical and project support for Electric Vehicles sales activities
- Analyzing quality results, service actions in order to manage product quality improvement
- Establishing long-term professional relationships with Electric Vehicles producers to promote the new products and collect requirements for future developments
Requirements:
- 10 years technical management experience
- 5 years automotive experience, preferably within the bus business
- Technical Master’s Degree
- Knowledge of buses construction
- Project management experience
- Ability to manage numerous engineers and other specialists within complex projects in a matrix environment
- Fluent English language skills
- Ability to speak to engineers about technical approach, R&D decisions, and high level technical strategy
- Understanding of costs, business principles and risk management
- Lithium-Ion technical know-how and experience will be a big advantage
- Electric Vehicles batteries assembling experience will be a big advantage
- Understanding of ISO TS 16949 / IAFT 16949:2016 will be advantage
