Responsibilities:
- Develops, codes, tests and maintains deployment/automation scripts of a complex CPU-bound, backend application. Maintains configuration and supports releasing/patching application to production environments
- Develops, codes, tests and maintains internal scripts and frameworks for performance/efficacy tests. Executes specialized tests, collects, analyses data and prepares results in readable form
- Has basic understanding of application's business logic and consults deployment/test scripts with functional teams
- Monitors application stability and performance in production environments. Diagnoses variety of stability problems (connectivity/memory/disk/other system resources) and performance issues (IO/CPU/network)
- Analyses server capacity (CPU) and applies adequate load-balancing
- Processes and analyses application logs, instrumentation database and aggregates data from different sources
- Prepares technical documentation of deployment/test tools and processes
Requirements:
- 4 – 6 years of related experience
- Excellent knowledge of Unix environment
- Advanced Bash programming skills
- Perl and Python programming skills
- Advanced knowledge of SQL (querying)
- Advanced knowledge of system monitoring tools (command-line)
- Advanced knowledge of text processing tools (command-line)
- Advanced knowledge of IP networking
- Good communication skills in English, written and verbal in the area of expertise
Nice to have:
- Basic C++ programming skills
- Basic knowledge of Git
- Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and tools
- Knowledge of RedHat Linux distribution
