We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
DevOps Engineer
Banking Platform exposes data (both Public and Private) and capabilities through an Application Programming Interface (API).
The platform:
Allows external third-parties to consume APIs that access to our Bank’s core value proposition;
Shares API documentation and sandbox capability for external developers;
Enforces security policies to protect customer data and maintains data privacy;
Provides capability to become a new revenue stream for the bank across multiple lines of business.
Key Accountabilities:
Design, build and manage highly scalable, secure and available AWS infrastructure that enable operational reliably 24x7;
Create tools and automated workflow capabilities to enable software engineers to promote code across the different environments with maximum velocity;
Lead development for large/complex projects to agreed timescales and standards;
Apply in depth technical experience in the development of high quality applications/systems as per the requirement, on time and to Group and local standards;
Define and govern quality standards. Maintain expert knowledge in required technology area across multiple platforms;
Build strong decision-making and problem solving skills within the required technology area across multiple platforms.
Requirements:
Experience of effective CI/CD environment – Jenkins;
Configuration Management;
Deployment Orchestration;
Experience in AWS services and Terraform will be a plus;
An understanding of distributed revision control systems and platforms – GIT;
Innovative approach to solving complex problems with an excellent level of attention to detail;
A high level of motivation, quick to learn and the ability to work with minimal supervision;
Ability to travel for short period and work with team members in different time zones;
Fluent English.
