design engineer

For our Client we are looking for:

Required qualifications:

• master degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably Mechanics and Machine Building)
• very good command of the English language is necessary
• solid technical knowledge with at least 3 years experience as design engineer in a product design environment
• knowledge of modern engineering tools
• ability to write technical reports and provide presentations
• drive and desire to achieve results and strive for high performance.
• strong communication skills
• competent complex problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• experience in oil and gas industry will be an advantages

Main responsibilities:

• generate conceptual designs or customise existing designs for proposals or projects from customer or internally generated specifications and prepare design layouts using 2D or 3D drawing packages
• verify design where necessary using classical analysis techniques (bending, buckling, shear, bearing and pressure vessel). Analises will require to be formalised for inclusion in product design files and design documentation
• present designs during design reviews
• prepare part reports, review detail drawings prepared from design layouts and make necessary engineering changes
• participate in investigation and disposition of non-conformances and provide necessary support to various internal departments
• carry out general engineering duties as identified by the relevant group leader or engineering manager
