Database Administrator (MSSQL and MYSQL)
In this role you will be involved in maintaining the database performance from the technical side as handling database procedures: upgrade, backup, recovery or migration. You will work in international environment along with the best IT specialist from around the Globe.

Description
- Involved in DB script review and able to discover, identify & spot the query pitfall for maintaining the database performance.
- Technically sound in capacity planning and able to think out of box for solving database issues.
- Self-initiative and keen interest on in-depth of technical problem-solving task.
- Monitor high server resource query and provide guidelines to developer to optimise problematic query.
- Able to work under stress and accommodate a rotating of 24 x7 production issues standby.
- Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, deployment, Data archiving, etc.
- Manage Disaster recovery solution for database in different geographical areas.
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies to improve the current work-flow (database deployment or Auditing process).
- Assist in planning and implementing high quality in cloud AWS database
- MySQL Database Operational support to tech users
Profile
- Bachelor degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of database administration Microsoft SQL server 2014/ 2016 experience and MYSQL 5.6 and on wards
- Mysql InnoDb cluster experience or alike is a plus
- Strong knowledge of shell scripting
- Possess good attitude with interpersonal skills and able to work closely with different teams in the organisation.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Preferable language(s): English.
