The Risk Management Contract Reviewer based in Kracow, Poland will report to the Senior Contract & Risk Manager Europe, based in Munich, Germany, and will form part of a small global team lead by the Global Head of Risk Management, based in London office. You will have day-to-day contact with Commission Managers across Turner & Townsend’s European business.
Job objectives
▪ To improve risk awareness by undertaking reviews on potential contracts and assisting opportunity/commission managers with negotiating terms with clients. ▪ Providing risk and contract advice to opportunity/commission managers. ▪ Helping to improve the Risk Management (RM) and the contract review process, leading to improved compliance. ▪ Pro-active assistance to the operational part of business. ▪ Undertaking contract reviews. ▪ Providing ad-hoc advice to Commission Managers and liaising with clients/their legal team (where requested) to resolve contractual reviews. ▪ Liaising with PII and general insurance brokers to confirm coverage, respond to queries, etc. ▪ Assisting with the approval of onerous terms and conditions (the Red Bar process), liaising with Commission Managers and making recommendations to a panel of senior managers who will decide whether to accept the Red Bars, where requested. ▪ Liaising with Regional RM Representatives and Commission Managers to increase RM awareness and improve compliance, including a greater emphasis on signed contracts. ▪ Working on contract database, checking compliance and providing RM support to Commission Managers.
Skills required
- Higher Education and experience of working with various construction contract types and/or a paralegal qualification
- Ability to manage self.
- Good communication skills.
- Language skills: Fluent and proficient English and German a must. Any of the following desirable: Polish, French and/or Spanish and/or Dutch and/or Russian
