This is the opportunity to step into the growing Cloud division of Pegasystems and excellent time to learn new cutting edge technology and work with a driven team in our rapidly expanding Krakow location.
The responsibilities will include working on cloud based systems that are running mission critical Pega applications for global clients, assisting our internal teams to build cloud based environments for proof of concepts and engineering tasks, and engaging with our managed services providers to assist in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
The Performance Architect is expected to take a hands-on approach to become an expert in cloud services technology and Pegasystems technology to execute support for internal and external customers to Pega Cloud. This role will also be considered a technical expert to deliver cloud architecture and cloud infrastructure solutions during the implementation phase of a client on-boarding.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in client engagements to help on-board and manage escalated client issues specific to the cloud infrastructure
- Make sure environments are setup properly and under management
- Interact with the clients directly when needed
- Engage in forward looking cloud architectures and improvement projects
- Report and manage client engagements

The Person:
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically driven, inquisitive, with a passion for technology, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications will include:
- BA in Computer Science, BS in Engineering or Management Information Systems or equivalent
- Very good knowledge of Java programming language
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, ideally AWS
- Hands on expertise of database technologies (including troubleshooting and performance tuning) – PostgreSQL a plus, Oracle and DB2
- 5+ years of experience in building, delivering and supporting enterprise scale business applications
- Ability to train end users on tool sets and procedures
- Understanding of web application , database, network, security and web services/integration technologies.
