Our Client, due to continuing expansion and the increasing demands to deliver accurate accounts for Czech’s operations, are now seeking

a Chief Accountant

to take full responsibility for the Company’s accounting function.

 

Unit & Division: Transportation, Europe Division

Location: Prague

Reporting to: Divisional Director

Qualifications Sought: Relevant Professional Qualification or qualified by experience

Experience Sought: fluent in English, ability to work in a multinational environment

 

Job Description

The role will entail but is not limited to:

•Efficient and timely reporting in line with the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual accounting requirements.

•Delivery of year and month end financial accounts in compliance with local statutory law

•Reconciliation between local accounting systems and the group accounting systems

•Management of a small team of accounts staff

•Provide training and support to the business and its management on all financial related matters including in-house computer tools.

 

Candidate Specification

The candidate will have experience of working with local accounting standards and ideally reporting financial information within a multinational company. A full understanding of administering and delivering complete and accurate financial accounts is also essential for any candidate.

The ideal candidate is likely to have the following characteristics:

•Fluent English speaker

•Excellent Communication skills

•Experience in financial accounts delivery in Czech Republic

•Experience liaising with Business managers at all levels within a large company

•Experience in working with international financial operations

•Strong Excel skills are fundamental

•Analytical and statistical mindset

•Strong man management skills to support and develop the accounts team

•Ability to travel to UK for training and liaison
