Our Client is a NHS Foundation Trust who is regularly ranked as excellent for quality of services and hygiene. Their newly designed cardiology department has superb state-of-the-art equipment and a highly skilled team to provide top quality services for heart disease for the population of approximately 155.000.

They need an intuitive leader for a team of expert cardiographers, highly-skilled technical staff and specialist heart disease nurses.

The successful candidate will have the responsibility for the care of the patients and where necessary will be in charge of the patients of other Consultants colleagues. Duties include supervising Junior Medical Staff to ensure proper functioning of the department. As a Consultant you will be expected to undertake ward rounds and administrative duties directly associated with care of patients and the running of clinics. Furthermore, you will receive fully equipped office facilities with email, intranet and internet access and the support of a medical secretary.
To be successful in this demanding role you need to have specialised experiencein Cardiology and be registered or in advance progress of registration with the GMC(Specialist GMC registration for Medicine and Cardiology is required).The place, where hospital is situated, is privileged to enjoy some of the most spectacularly beautiful coastline in the country and has easy access to many excellent amenities within a short distance.
