THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Germany.

For one of our Clients, A Global Food ingredient supplier, I am currently looking for a Business Development Manager Specialist.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible to improve the market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines long-term organisational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
The role will be responsible for accelerating sales where the commercial aspects of the sale are paramount (more commodity orientated selling).



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops a Strategy as well as a sales plan for accelerating pulse ingredient sales within EMEA.
• Develops clear understanding of competitor business across EMEA and develops a plan to ensure the company is well positioned to supply customers
• Clearly identify key decision makers, influencers and gatekeepers in the customer’s organization and develop an effective network
• Creatively & quickly adjusts plans to compensate for shortfalls vs. Goal
• Working with customers across EMEA, directly face to face as well as a significant amount of telephone selling.
• Build strong relationships with the EMEA Sales,

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Scientific or Economic discipline.
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in selling commodity based food ingredients within Europe,
• Elaborate knowledge of the food ingredients industry across Europe.
• Fluent in German, English and French or Spanish.
• Willingness to travel extensively across EMEA.
• Culturally aware and skilled at operating across numerous cultures.
