ROLE DESCRIPTION

1. Responsible for accurate weekly, monthly and annual reporting. Ensures the reliability and integrity of the financial reports.
2. Responsible for directing the accounting controls and periodic reporting of the local financial position.
3. Sets up and maintains all systems required for internal and external financial reporting.
4. Provides financial analysis and guidance for good business decisions. Supports and advises other departments and contributes to projects.
5. Ensures compliance with all SOX, tax and legal requirements. Applies requirements in all financial processes and procedures. Delivers support for financial audits (eg. Accountant, SOX, Soft).
6. Ensures internal understanding and alignment to financial goals and results.
7. Directs financial analysis and estimates for decision making on new products, processes and businesses.
8. Oversees consolidation of functional input into annual budget and forecasts.
9. Analyzes budget/forecasts for potential improvement opportunities.
10. Ensures financial support for all division functions; closing, forecasting, budgeting, costing and special projects.
11. Applies costing methods to analyze and understand the value of inputs and outputs in the production process.
12. Responsible for cost price calculations, calculation of projects.
13. Responsible for production related variance analysis and reporting.
14. Supports and advises other departments and contributes to projects.
15. Responsible for fixed assets maintenance and CIP (Capital Improvement Program).

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. A “hands on” position with responsibilities for maintaining accurate general ledgers, strong internal controls (SOX) and consistent recording and reporting of accounting and/or financial information. This includes Accounting responsibility for the company for the general accounting activities in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and international financial and tax regulations.
2. Responsible for implementing and maintaining adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
3. Manage the Hyperion schedule and closing schedule including required reporting packages for the company
4. Oversee the maintenance of the local chart of accounts, develop and maintain account definitions and ensure consistent application.
5. Assist with both internal and external audits to ensure information requests are done in a timely/effective manner.
6. Ensures compliance with internal controls and takes ownership of SOX process.
7. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of the results for the company and European lead team.
8. Complete and submit all corporate monthly, quarterly, yearly and annual statutory and tax requirements.
