Job Description:
The Analytical Development group is responsible for testing the active substances of new potential protein drugs throughout the entire development process. The group is working on recombinant glycoproteins and is responsible for determining molecular structure, purity and stability. In addition to protein-based biochemistry, the analysis of the glycoprotein sugar chains is of importance. The group employs a wide range of techniques which are developed and validated by us, such as HPLC, MS, SDS-PAGE, IEF, CE, ELISA and glycoprofiling methods, needed for the release of batches for (pre)clinical trials and stability studies.
The biochemical analyst is expected to work independently, planning, conducting, interpreting and reporting biochemical analyses (including in the CMC modules used for registration purposes).
Requirements:
- Bachelor level degree (BSc.) in biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent.
- We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who can work alone and as a member of a team.
- It is important that you are precise and goal orientated.
- Experience in the area of (analytical) biochemistry is an advantage.
- In addition you are able to produce research results clearly in writing.
- You adopt new techniques quickly and have a proven track record of doing so.
- We are looking for someone who can see relationships between different biochemical analyses and is familiar with GMP.
- A good knowledge of written English increases the applicant’s chances of success.
