Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Netherlands.
The company of our client is a nationally focused Agricultural business (Dutch). Their departments are widely focused on quality, innovation and control for the crop science industry. Such as flower, vegetables and tree varieties.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
In the role of Bioinformatician , within this organization you will focus on Research, Development and Innovation within the Bioinformatics department. You will be the expert of this field. Your focus will be aimed at understanding the association between value brought forward by these methods and the results that team efforts can realize. Thus it is your responsibility to translate these results and understand how to coordinate the team to reach these goals. All together an interesting combination between Bioinformatics and leadership
Being part of a newly developing team while being the coordinator in this field presents much responsibility, owner ship and at the same time plenty of opportunities for your personal/career development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as Bioinformatician you will need to showcase experience and knowledge in the following areas:
• Have a proven track record in programming and building pipelines
• Linux script writing and data analyzing scripts e.g. Perl, Python or Java etc.
• Focus on the development of result driven innovation within Bioinformatics and formulate key areas to enhance performance
• Close collaboration with colleagues and business partners alike
• Coordinate and develop the team/department
REQUIREMENTS
To successfully fill this role as a Bioinformatician , you should have the skills, attitude and behavior that follow:
• PhD or MSc in the area of plant science and relevant working experience
• Between 3-5 years of experience in the crops sciences in Bioinformatics areas
• Strong project management and programming/data analyzing skills
• Fluent in English is a must
• Proven communication skills and creativity
• Hands-on mentality to anticipate to daily operations
