Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Netherlands.
The company of our client performs on top of the special plant market. Their focus is aimed at innovative and entrepreneurial breeding methods. Their customers are ranging from hotels, museums, castles airports, you name it. Their plants are big and so is their ambition to continue in being the market leader.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Big Plant Breeder you will conduct several projects. You will be leading and developing the Breeding programs, build on project management and planning. While doing this it is of utmost importance to improve the genetics for habitats accordingly. You will also continue to accelerate processes on the breeding programs and enhance the several plant species performance. This will exist out of development of new species, future trend assessments and disease/resistance prevention research.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform your role most efficient you will need to showcase experience and knowledge in the following areas:
• Improve and innovate existing and new breeding activities
• Manage the breeding and research projects
• Focus on strategic breeding programs for future human needs
• Ensure alignment between breeding programs and Commercial/Business implementations
REQUIREMENTS
• PhD in Biotechnology or Agricultural related field
• Between 2-4 years of experience in the Crops Sciences as plant breeder
• Strong breeding program and research knowledge
• Strong writing and speaking skills in English
• Hands-on mentality to anticipate to the daily operations
• A natural project leader
