Your new company
Our client is one of the largest design and consulting american company in the world, operating in over 150 countries.
A new SSC, in the heart of Bucharest (Romana Square) were key finance functions will be migrated from UK, USA and Canada.
Your new role
- Analyse the aged intercompany balances across Continental Europe and liaise with the local country controllers to clear or write-off old balances.
- Produce intercompany metrics for monthly review and monitoring of current and aged balances.
- Liase with local country controllers to produce quarterly consolidated bond and guarantees schedules, review them and ensure expired items are cleared promptly.
- Collect bank mandates by country on a quarterly basis and ensure they are updated on a timely manner for Bank of America and local banks.
- Manage ad-hoc request from EMEA and US controllership teams for Continental Europe.
- Provide support for CE wide special projects, for instance, implementation of new lease standard.
- Support the CE Financial Controller in the preparation of controllership dash with key metrics and issues.
- Lead the project to reconcile fixed assets between Oracle and local accounting systems.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree educated or equivalent in Accounting or similar
- Ideally qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA or similar
-Excellent written and spoken English is essential
- Stakeholder management skills and presence;
- Ability to efficiently interrogate financial systems;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions.
- International travel might be required (30%)
- More than 5 years experience in similar role, preferably in a multinational.
- Proven experience of leading a finance project and driving change.
- Experience managing multiple tasks in complex environment
- Practical experience of driving improvements while working autonomously.
