AP Team Leader with German

Currently we are supporting the growth of our client’s Accounts Payable Department within the Shared Services Sector. We are looking for Team Leader with a fluent command of German language, excellent leadership and people management skills to join growing international company in the heart of Warsaw

Main accountabilities:

  • Day to day supervision of team performance, managing and allocating resources (distribution of tasks, delegating and following-up on the status of outstanding issues) ensuring that the workload is equitably balanced in the team
  • Review the Team for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
  • Conducting regular meetings with team members
  • Managing and monitoring established KPIs
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding process
  • Support in people development, motivation and appraisal processes
  • Aligning teams and individual objectives to achieve company’s goals           
  • Supervising daily operations of Accounts Payable: supporting the AP team to deliver services on the sufficient efficiency and quality level to ensure accurate, timely, compliant and consistent financial and tax reporting as well as timely settlement of payables, supervising AP month-end and year-end close
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and coordinating the resolution of accounting problems with impacted business units
  • Resource management in effective manner
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of process and working routines and strive to constantly reduce the average time spent on invoice handling,
  • Taking part in management meetings and maintain communication with management in legacy location, internal and external clients
  • Securing compliance of company specific guidelines

Requirements:

  • BSc / MA degree in accounting/finance or equivalent
  • Languages: fluent German and Polish spoken and written is a must. English and any other language will be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a similar position
  • Over 5 years of finance and accounting experience
  • Experience in a SSC organization and in Accounts Payable area
  • Proven experience in people management/ supervisio
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedure
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software and ERP system, knowledge of SAP FI will be an advantag
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to effectively function under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Good understanding of efficient processes and performance monitoring (KPI)
  • Experience in process related projects (e.g. system implementation and changes, process standardization and optimisation) will be an advantage
