At the moment we are looking for:

- Meeting with line-of-business sector clients on projects and issues
- Working with SMEs to provide next-generation AIX/pSeries server support
- Providing timely time-to-market support for AIX/pSeries server installations globally in standardized configurations
- Providing third-level support for PowerVM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS), Hardware Management Consoles (HMC), and high-end
- Power Systems hardware in an enterprise environment, supporting hundreds of frames globally
- Providing third-level AIX support for system administrator organizations managing thousands of LPARs
- Performing operating-system upgrades on Virtual I/O Servers and HMCs
- Creating and modifying LPAR profiles and performing Dynamic LPAR and Live Partition Mobility operations
- Coordinating scheduled outages for hardware and/or software maintenance and actively driving completion of upgrade efforts
- Troubleshooting system performance, netorking, and storage issues in a virtualized AIX environment
- Participating in rotating on-call schedule with global team (including some evening & weekend work)
- Excellent English-language written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent people-management skills
- Familiarity with virtualized IBM Power Systems using PowerVM, Virtual I/O Server (VIOS), and Hardware Management Console (HMC)
- Familiarity with enterprise virtual storage configurations including Fibre Channel SAN using EMC, Hitachi, and IBM storage arrays, EMC PowerPath software, and IBM’s Virtual SCSI and N_Port ID Virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking on Ethernet networks
- Familiarity with AIX operating system
- Familiarity with concepts of clustering technologies such as IBM PowerHA SystemMirror or Oracle RAC
- Familiarity with ServiceNow change management and incident management
- Interesting projects focused on new technologies and realized within different client’s sectors (banking, telco, pharma)
