Administrator -Engineer Unix / Windows 146482/P

• System administration UNIX (HP, SUN, IBM platform) and Windows.
• System monitoring.
• Subscriber administration and provisioning (default settings).
• Implement Service definitions
• Responding to subscriber service requests and verifying subscriber database information.
• Producing performance reports and other service or subscriber related reports.
• Maintaining system problem logs (log book), and activities such as printing and forwarding system log information.
• Connecting communication devices for remote access to the system (non Tier related).
• System level data provisioning
• Alarms setup of alarm thresholds and logger follow-up.
• Handling any change request derived from environmental or external changes in the network (i.e. setting up topology changes, links).
• Troubleshooting, performing sanity tests and handling basic system malfunctions.
• Performing scheduled preventive maintenance activities as defined by Comverse.
• Performing databases and applications backups.
• Investigating and verifying the existence of a reported system problem and replicating or otherwise confirming the problem.
• Hardware audit including a visual inspection of systems components (such as connections, LEDs indicating normal operation).
• Swapping field replaced units (FRU).
• Assisting in the installation of new systems or system expansions.
• Installing software patches while having clear procedure and instructions
• ON-Call duties for the above mentioned items based on Comverse schedule

• At least 3 years experience on the similar position
• Strong knowledge of Unix or/and Windows
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent English is a must
