DUTIES
- Play key role in setting up the accounts to report function in the shared service center,
- Maintain, enforce and enhance Guardian’s Desktop Procedures, including streamlining and improving the quality of inputs to Shared Services Processes,
- Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Ensure strong internal controls are established and maintained in the ATR based activities
- Very deep understanding and knowledge of Plant operations
- Ensure closing process and ensure quality, policy compliant, and on time month end submissions
- Knowledge and understanding of annual cost model update to Annual Operating Plan i.e. for Production + Profitability reporting
- Monthly cost model update e.g. new parts, and significant changes to Variable Contribution Margin i.e. for Sales + Profitability
- Finished Goods inventory, Raw Materials inventory, Work in Progress, reserves (obsolescence, lower than market price vs cost), packaging not on glass journal bookings
- Crib inventory
- Month end inventory movement checks
- Sales + Profitability activation and export
- Variance analysis
- Assist in Annual Operating Plan – resource cost and production parameters
- Reconciliations,
- Understand and apply accounting policy in these areas
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ideal candidate would have at least a bachelor’s Degree and experience in a mid-market or larger Shared Services function.
- Will only consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant and similar experience.
- Ability to travel (up to 100% during transition period, 10% to 20% beyond)
- Understanding and knowledge of glass manufacturing process is considered as a plus
- Thorough knowledge of individual Plant manufacturing costing practices and models
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills - capable of executing through others (influence vs. control)
- Resilient in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrated change/project management skills -- can effectively lead projects by establishing priorities, building and executing project plans, and delivering on commitments,
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and use technology to improve the efficiency of the team
- Proven ability of implementing best practices in a shared services environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Any additional European language will be considered as a plus
