The AP Managermanages, monitors, confirms, and reports required metrics and manages Accounts Payable team to achieve operational objectives.

DUTIES

• Play key role in setting up the accounts payable function in the shared service centre,
• Play key role in optimizing the performance of the centralized Accounts Payable environment,
• Manage daily workflow of Accounts Payable processing to ensure that daily SLAs are within expected ranges,
• Facilitate and drive process standardization, optimization, and consistent reporting and analysis of shared services activities,
• Produce and analyze weekly/monthly KPIs, dashboards and analytics to measure and improve performance,
• Act as Shared Service Center point of contact for escalations and urgent matters related to Accounts Payable
• Maintain, enforce and enhance Desktop Procedures, including streamlining and improving the quality of inputs to Shared Services processes
• Develop and retain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Manage team performance through coaching, counseling, planning/monitoring, and appraising job results
• Liaison with Procurement on issues related to vendors and purchase orders
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ideal candidate would have Bachelor's Degree and experience in a mid-market or larger Shared Services function.
• Will only consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant and similar experience.
• Ability to travel (50% to 60% during transition period, 10% to 20% beyond)
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills - capable of executing through others (influence vs. control)
• Resilient in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Demonstrated change/project management skills -- can effectively lead projects by establishing priorities, building and executing project plans, and delivering on commitments,
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and use technology to improve the efficiency of the team
• Experience with procure to pay software solutions
• Experience with workflow solutions
• Proven ability of implementing best practices in a shared services environment
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with developing, implementing, managing, and monitoring effective internal controls
