accountant in GL department

Responsibilities:
- daily processing of open items on Bank statements to ensure they reflect accurately the transaction on the Bank statement
- reconciliation of assigned accounts (e.g. Bank accounts) including ensuring the account is aged if appropriate to reflect risk in the account
- investigation and resolution of any reconciling differences on the assigned accounts
- clearing/ matching open items
- assisting with resolution of audit queries
- assisting with issues or questions from Local Finance
Requirements:
- good level of general education (a Level equivalent / high school)
- some experience in Accounting (credits / debits) is preferred (study or practical experience)
- fluent English
- working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- good numerical skills
- working knowledge of SAP systems is desirable
