Job Description

The role is a Software Developer role, developing / maintaining components written in VB.Net to help provide services to our Data business.  Solutions delivered tend to be web based general public accessible sites that provide services to our clients. 

This role will focus on (but not limited to) support and development of our two core products.  Product 1 is a fast counts and data access engine and website with a proprietary database to allow for instant counting of hundreds of millions of records. 

Product 2 is an application which allows non-software associates to build web sites for public data collection.  The role will also consist of day to day maintenance activities such as defining and loading data into the Product 1 system, and site setup for Product 2.

Required skills

The ideal candidate would have fit the following profile:

  • Have at least 3 years experience writing ASP.NET websites.
  • Solid Object Orientated design and experience skills
  • Self directed problem solving with minimal support from senior developers / architects.
  • Have solid demonstrable knowledge of XML with strong XSL and XPath skills to render this.
